Now using Categories in Movable Type!!!
I've introduced Categories for my blog. I started tinkering around and looked at both Pages and Categories in Movable Type. I am not using separate Pages right now but I have introduced Categories of Social, FOSS, Feminista! and Blog News.
Blog News is news about this blog. This entry is an example of blog news.
Feminista! is about promoting women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
A sub-category of Feminista! is Geek Feminism which discusses topics raised over on the Geek Feminism blog and which entice me to contribute an experience or a point of view.
The FOSS Category is about Free and Open Source Software. So if you just want to focus on what I am writing about in that direction just select that Category.
Social is the Category I exercise my more civic tendencies. Hopefully simply raising awareness on my pet themes.
If you really don't like the current view of this blog with it's mish-mash of different themes, select the theme you want to focus on from the Categories List.
Today it's on the right - above the Monthly Archives section.
But I do intermittently restyle the blog so its position may change in time. Further blog news will describe new layouts.
